Job Description
Atlas Air Worldwide is a global leader in outsourced aviation logistics, operating cargo, passenger, and leasing services in more than 70 countries. With over 30 years of history and a modern all-Boeing fleet, Atlas Air Worldwide is known for its commitment to safety, service excellence, integrity, innovation, teamwork, and responsibility. The company employs nearly 5,000 teammates across various operational, technical, and corporate functions, driving forward a purpose-centered approach that values collaboration, growth, and delivering excellence every day.
The Senior Manager, Transformation & Value Creation is a key role within Atlas Air’s Value Creation Office (VCO), responsible for managing a portfolio of transformation initiatives that deliver sustained financial and operational impact. This position demands a strategic thinker who can connect detailed project execution to measurable profit and loss outcomes, ensuring that transformation efforts result in transparent, credible, and audit-ready value capture. The role bridges initiative owners, Finance teams, and senior leadership, playing an essential role in governance, reporting, and portfolio hygiene.
This leadership position requires strong organizational skills, a disciplined approach to portfolio management, and the ability to simplify complex, cross-functional initiatives into coherent financial narratives. The Senior Manager will maintain enterprise-wide visibility on project scope, schedules, and interdependencies while managing project intake and pipeline development in partnership with business sponsors. Through rigorous value tracking methodology development and transparent reporting infrastructures, they will ensure that all initiatives align logically, avoiding overlaps and double counting. This critical role also involves risk identification, mitigation planning, and serving as the escalation point for critical delivery issues.
Atlas Air values behavioral standards aligned with its Code of Conduct, emphasizing integrity and ethical responsibility across all company operations. The Senior Manager will play a crucial role in embedding these values within the transformation portfolio to uphold the highest standards of accountability and excellence.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong background in consulting, strategy, portfolio management, or operational planning. The ideal candidate will bring 4 to 6 years of experience managing large-scale projects and have a preference for those with exposure to global operations, logistics, or aviation industries. Advanced degrees such as an MBA or a master’s in business, finance, or economics are preferred to complement a thorough understanding of financial and operational integration.
Technical proficiency in MS Office and Anaplan combined with exceptional communication and presentation skills will empower the Senior Manager to craft compelling narratives for executive and board-level audiences. The role offers a competitive salary range from $136,500 to $185,000 USD, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, employee assistance programs, generous paid time off, and 401(k) contributions.
At Atlas Air Worldwide, you will join a culture that believes in lifting ambition beyond cargo — a culture that celebrates people, innovation, and responsibility to customers and the planet. This is a unique chance to make a lasting impact through transformation leadership in a dynamic and supportive environment where your contributions drive measurable value and sustainable growth.
