The Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing plays a critical leadership role within this innovative company, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Program Management and Strategy. This position carries overall responsibility for managing long-term supplier relationships, supporting proposal activities, and developing and executing supply chain management strategies aligned with business needs. The Senior Manager leads a team of sourcing project management professionals, ensuring effective load distribution, prioritization, and accountability in pursuit of operational excellence. This role requires specialized expertise in managing relationships and contracts with Cloud, SaaS, and IT providers, making it essential for the successful candidate to possess deep knowledge in these areas.

Key responsibilities include leading sourcing negotiations for complex, high-value agreements and driving cost reductions alongside improved supplier performance. Additionally, this role demands strong collaboration with various internal stakeholders—including supply chain, manufacturing, program management, and finance teams—to align sourcing strategies with program requirements and business objectives. The Senior Manager actively promotes process improvements, leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to enhance sourcing workflows and decision-making processes. This role also ensures compliance with federal regulations and company policies, upholding the highest standards of ethics and governance across all procurement activities.

This position offers a competitive combined salary range of USD 183,371 to USD 198,414 per year, depending on experience and geographic factors, and supports flexible working arrangements such as remote and hybrid models. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations
  • Proven experience in procurement or strategic sourcing particularly with Cloud SaaS and IT providers
  • Strong knowledge and compliance with FAR/DFARS and other federal acquisition regulations
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams in a strategic sourcing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex and high-value supplier agreements
  • Excellent program management organizational and multitasking skills
  • Experience in defense or aerospace contracting environment
  • Familiarity with AI applications in procurement or supply chain operations preferred
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM PMP or CSCP preferred
  • Knowledge of ITAR/EAR compliance requirements preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Finance or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement strategic sourcing or supply chain management
  • 3+ years of experience in a people leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex supplier agreements including Cloud and SaaS contracts
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal acquisition regulations
  • Experience in defense contracting or aerospace and defense industry procurement
  • Exceptional program management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities

Job Duties

  • Lead develop and mentor a team of sourcing and agreement project managers
  • Set team priorities manage workload allocation and drive accountability for results
  • Build team capabilities in negotiation supplier management and strategic sourcing practices
  • Lead negotiations for complex high-value supplier agreements including Cloud SaaS and information technology contracts
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that reduce total cost of ownership and improve supplier on-time delivery performance
  • Identify and qualify suppliers conduct market analysis and drive competitive sourcing events
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance to contractual commitments
  • Ensure all sourcing activities comply with FAR/DFARS and applicable federal acquisition regulations
  • Maintain adherence to company procurement policies procedures and ethical standards
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase sourcing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance sourcing workflows data analysis and decision-making
  • Develop and standardize best practices templates and playbooks for the sourcing team
  • Partner with supply chain manufacturing program management and finance stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with program requirements and business goals
  • Provide sourcing expertise and risk assessments to support program proposals and execution
  • Communicate sourcing performance risks and opportunities to senior leadership
