Job Description

Fidelity Investments is a globally recognized financial services corporation known for its dedication to innovation, integrity, and delivering exceptional client experiences. With a rich history spanning several decades, Fidelity offers a broad range of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, and wealth management services to millions of clients worldwide. At Fidelity, the commitment to excellence extends beyond financial products to include fostering a supportive, dynamic workplace where associates can thrive and contribute actively to the company's success. Fidelity values diversity, inclusion, and professional growth, making it a prime destination for career advancement in the financial sector.

The Senior Manager, Meetings and Events role at Fidelity is a pivotal position within the company's Meetings and Events team. This role requires a strategic and detail-oriented professional who will be responsible for delivering outstanding event experiences that engage the firm’s associates, clients, and prospects. The ideal candidate demonstrates a natural curiosity for the business’s strategy and employs their event management expertise to create and flawlessly execute programmatic experiences that align with and support Fidelity's business objectives. This hybrid role involves a mix of strategic planning, meticulous execution, and collaborative communication with various stakeholders including sales, relationship management, product teams, and marketing.

The Senior Manager will take full ownership of event project management. This includes crafting detailed timelines, organizing and leading planning meetings, and working collaboratively with business partners to ensure successful event delivery. One of the key responsibilities is managing sophisticated event logistics such as sourcing and overseeing vendors and speakers, and developing dynamic production schedules to ensure seamless event execution. This role demands expertise in both in-person and virtual event formats, including proficiency with digital platforms like Zoom Meeting, Zoom Video Webinar, and Cvent for event registration and mobile app management.

The candidate must be comfortable navigating the complexities of live virtual event production, including technical aspects like lighting, audio, video, and technical direction. Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite is essential, with a particular emphasis on PowerPoint for creating concise, engaging presentation decks. The role calls for an individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational capabilities, and the flexibility to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.

Additionally, the Senior Manager will consult with senior management and internal teams on event strategy and program goals, recommending cost-effective approaches to maximize impact. They will play an integral role in content development for event agendas and work closely with speakers on logistical arrangements. The ability to evaluate event success against predefined objectives and suggest improvements is crucial for continuous enhancement of Fidelity's event initiatives.

Fidelity’s Meetings and Events team is a dynamic group responsible for planning, budgeting, and designing over 1,000 events annually, striving to create memorable experiences that effectively support business and firm-wide goals. This position offers a competitive salary range from $85,000 to $171,000 per year, commensurate with experience and geographic location, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates should be prepared to work onsite as Fidelity transitions towards a full-time onsite working model, with flexible scheduling and up to 30% domestic travel as part of the role. Fidelity emphasizes legal and regulatory compliance, including adherence to employment protocols related to criminal history background checks due to the nature of its financial services business.
