Job Description

Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm that provides clients with a genuine coast-to-coast and global advantage. The firm operates in major regions across the United States including New York, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston, and is also active in many of the world's leading financial centers. Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP and Baker Tilly US, LLP deliver professional services through an alternative practice structure, ensuring compliance with the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct and other applicable laws and regulations. While Baker Tilly US, LLP is a licensed independent CPA firm providing attest services, Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP and its subsidiaries focus on tax and business advisory services. The firm is part of Baker Tilly International, a global network of independent accounting and business advisory firms spanning 141 territories with over 43,000 professionals and a combined revenue of 5.2 billion dollars. Baker Tilly is committed to diversity and is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer, welcoming all qualified candidates regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other protected basis under law.

The role of Senior Manager within Baker Tilly's Accounting & Finance Services (AFS) Transitions Team is an exciting leadership position that combines accounting expertise with technology and project management skills. As a key part of the Managed Services offering, the AFS Transitions team focuses on helping new clients stabilize their financial operations, implement cloud accounting systems, and design scalable financial processes. This project-based work sets clients up for long-term success before they move on to Baker Tilly's recurring service teams. The Senior Manager will lead client onboarding from the initial kickoff through to the smooth transition to ongoing support teams, serving as the primary client contact and managing all aspects including scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables. A significant part of this role involves implementing and optimizing cloud accounting platforms such as Intacct, QuickBooks Online, and NetSuite, integrating third-party tools like bill pay, payroll, and expense management to improve operational efficiency. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, resolving issues as they arise, and driving continuous process improvements. Providing initial accounting support, including reconciliations and preparation of financial statements, as well as reviewing them to ensure GAAP compliance and accuracy, are critical duties for this role. This position requires a technology-savvy leader who excels at client interaction and project delivery, with a passion for modernizing financial operations and ensuring client success. Compensation for this position ranges from $178,310 to $338,030, reflecting an array of factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Baker Tilly also offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees, supporting a rewarding and balanced work environment.
