The Senior Food and Beverage Manager role is a pivotal leadership position at The Westin Nashville responsible for overseeing daily operations across all dining venues. This includes managing both front-of-house and back-of-house functions, ensuring that every guest encounter is exceptional and that the outlets operate at peak efficiency. The position requires extensive restaurant management experience and strong leadership abilities to train, supervise, and motivate the Food and Beverage team. Responsibilities include managing scheduling and payroll, upholding stringent brand standards, and driving service excellence by consistently monitoring food quality and guest satisfaction. The Senior Manager will work collaboratively with culinary, events, and hotel operations teams to support group business, seasonal programming, and menu development while maintaining financial objectives through effective management of labor, inventory, purchasing, and revenue.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 5 years experience in food and beverage operations
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in food and beverage management
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Experience in budget management and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and quality assurance standards
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Lead the daily operations of restaurant, bar, and in-room dining venues, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and adherence to Westin and Marriott brand standards
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop associates while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Drive service excellence by monitoring food quality, service delivery, and guest satisfaction, proactively resolving concerns and creating memorable dining experiences
  • Manage labor, payroll, inventory, purchasing, and revenue performance to achieve financial objectives while maintaining high service standards
  • Partner with culinary, events, and hotel operations teams to support group business, seasonal programming, menu development, and seamless execution of guest needs
  • Analyze business trends, forecast operational needs, and implement strategies that maximize efficiency, profitability, and overall department performance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety and sanitation standards, quality assurance requirements, and all applicable operating procedures
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence, effectively prioritize competing demands, and support the overall success of the Food & Beverage division through strong communication, sound decision-making, and a commitment to hospitality excellence
