The Senior Manager, Events & Experiences position within Stryker’s Customer Solutions Division is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the strategy, planning, and execution of best-in-class events that support business priorities and engage key stakeholders effectively. This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on leadership skills to manage a diverse portfolio of meetings and events ranging from intimate executive gatherings to large-scale conferences both domestically and internationally. The Senior Manager will ensure that every program is flawlessly executed and aligned with the company’s objectives, delivering meaningful business impact and exceptional attendee experiences.
As the owner of the end-to-end events and experiences function, the Senior Manager will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders including Marketing, Commercial teams, and senior leadership to set clear event goals, define target audiences, and measure success through actionable metrics. They will oversee budget management, vendor negotiations, compliance, risk mitigation, and on-site execution while continuously enhancing operational excellence and driving innovative practices.
This role requires a deep understanding of virtual event platforms and the latest industry trends to foster high levels of engagement whether events are held in person or virtually. Additionally, the Senior Manager will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, ensuring that all events reflect the Stryker brand and support overarching business goals. Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of professional work experience is required
- 7+ years trade show/event/convention experience is needed
- 5+ years experience managing multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
- 4+ years of people management experience highly preferred
- certified meeting planner, qualified to take CMP exam, or equivalent experience preferred but not essential

Job Duties
- develop and implement meeting planning strategy and cadence in alignment with divisional goals and budget
- lead team on the development of detailed program budgets, control documents and tracking information for every program and ensure compliance with policies
- drive a strategic and proactive approach to event planning, communication, and outcomes with internal stakeholders and external partners
- oversee and coach team on execution of meeting requirements including invitations, registration, travel, food and beverage, audiovisual, site selection, billing reconciliation, program evaluations and follow-up
- manage large scale domestic and international programs
- deliver attendee experiences that generate high levels of engagement, in-person and/or virtually
- lead collaboration across group, division and business units for division meetings and drive consistency for functional/team meetings as appropriate
- manage the selection, negotiation and management of vendors needed to execute meetings
- institute processes, systems and tools for effective meeting planning and evaluation across the division
- launch methods for attendee and stakeholder feedback to provide recommendations for future program enhancements
- maintain comprehensive understanding of virtual platforms and tools to recommend optimal strategy for virtual events
- keep current with internal and external meeting trends to foster high attendee engagement and interaction
