Job Description
ISC2 is a globally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting cybersecurity professionals through education, advocacy, and certification. Established as the leading member organization for cybersecurity experts worldwide, ISC2 champions core values such as integrity, advocacy, commitment, diversity, equity, inclusion, and excellence. These principles guide their efforts to create a safer cyberspace by endorsing and validating cybersecurity knowledge and skills at every career level. They offer a widely respected and award-winning portfolio of certifications that have become standard endorsements of professional achievement in cybersecurity. Furthermore, ISC2's charitable arm, the Center for Cyber Safety and Education, empowers individuals, especially the most vulnerable, by educating them on cyber risks and fostering access to cybersecurity careers. Being part of ISC2 means committing to an inclusive, equitable environment where unique perspectives of a diverse global workforce are celebrated, and where trust, authenticity, and empowerment are foundational to organizational success.
The Senior Manager, Events role at ISC2 focuses on strategic leadership of the Americas event portfolio, encompassing in-person, virtual, hybrid events, workshops, and webinars. This position is responsible for setting priorities, defining success metrics, and developing operating frameworks to maximize member engagement, enhance brand impact, and achieve revenue targets. The manager will oversee the entire event team, providing leadership and coaching to ensure the successful delivery of fiscally responsible events aligned with ISC2’s objectives in education, engagement, and growth. A critical aspect of this role is global ownership of ISC2’s virtual events and webinars, continuously refining program design, technology platforms, scalability, and participant experience. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and experience managing multiple priorities in dynamic environments. The Senior Manager is also responsible for budget oversight, reporting on event performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize programming and audience acquisition. This role demands expertise in event technology, including systems like CVENT, as well as a willingness to incorporate emerging AI tools. The position supports an inclusive team culture aligned with ISC2's core values and is open to remote candidates within the US, excluding California residents. This leadership position presents an exciting opportunity to shape a prominent cybersecurity organization's event strategy and contribute significantly to its ongoing mission to foster a secure cyber world.
