The role of Senior Manager, DSD Excellence is pivotal within Bimbo Bakeries USA's operations, focusing on upholding and advancing Direct Store Delivery (DSD) execution standards and practices. This leadership position reports directly to Business Unit leadership and is instrumental in driving operational excellence through strategic partnership with DSDE Directors and Market Sales Leaders (MSLs). The Senior Manager will lead initiatives to engage teams, develop sales leader competencies, and streamline sales operations to ensure superior performance and growth. The position demands a strategic thinker who thrives on continuous improvement, process innovation, and operational leadership in a dynamic business environment.

Offering a competitive salary ranging from $109,200 to $152,900 along with annual bonus eligibility, Bimbo Bakeries USA's Senior Manager, DSD Excellence, also benefits from a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off and 401k with company match. This role encompasses responsibility for overseeing sales centers' performance by driving key performance indicators related to revenue, volume, and expenses while leading onboarding, training, team engagement, communication, tools, safety, and compliance initiatives. The Senior Manager will play a crucial role in coaching, mentoring, and developing sales leaders to enhance their effectiveness, drive business growth, and achieve operational excellence.

In addition to leadership and operational oversight, the Senior Manager will manage key projects designed to support sales growth strategies. Work includes the development and delivery of coaching programs, troubleshooting sales operations obstacles, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety. The role requires frequent travel, up to 85%, reflecting the hands-on nature of the position across multiple locations. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong operational acumen, project management capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and proficiency in relevant computer and BBU system applications. Bilingual skills, especially English/Spanish, are considered an advantage.

Job Duties

  • Provide leadership for the DSDE Team in engagement, skill development, and sales operations
  • create connections with business unit DSDE Directors to identify operational improvements
  • contribute to the development of DSDE solutions and learning labs
  • develop world-class processes for continuous improvement and in-market execution
  • provide leadership for sales operations including onboarding, training, communication, tools, and safety
  • lead delivery of key performance indicators for revenue, volume, and expenses
  • assist in developing strategic plans to meet sales targets
  • drive capability and accountability to meet performance targets
  • evaluate and resolve obstacles to sales leaders' work
  • develop coaching and training programs for new initiatives
  • develop strong onboarding for sales leaders
  • engage and develop core competencies of sales leaders through training and mentoring
  • develop frontline engagement processes and tools
  • create and maintain world-class sales centers aligned with company marketing strategies
  • assist in strategy and standards for Bakery Outlet Stores
  • support safety goals and deliver safety awareness programs
  • maintain BBU Food Safety and audit standards
  • foster continuous improvement for self, others, and processes
  • perform special projects as requested by leadership
