This Senior Manager, Corporate Events & Tradeshows position is an onsite role based in the Overland Park, Kansas office. It presents a vital leadership opportunity within Netsmart, seeking a strategic and inspiring individual to guide a dynamic team in delivering impactful events and experiences that directly support business growth, deepen client relationships, and foster associate engagement. As the Senior Manager, you will manage a team of eight associates, providing mentorship, leadership, and development in a hands-on, fast-paced environment that demands excellence and innovation. The position requires a strong executive presence and collaboration with senior leaders across the organization to ensure that event strategies are tightly aligned with business objectives and executed flawlessly. You will oversee over 150 annual events, including tradeshows, client visits, internal programs, and the flagship user conference named CONNECTIONS. This extensive portfolio involves managing budgets, complex logistics, and continuous improvement efforts to maintain the highest standards.
Your leadership will shape event programs that are not only aligned with business goals but also enhance Netsmart's brand and associate experience. You will collaborate across departments such as Facilities, IT, and Client Experience to ensure seamless execution and strategic alignment. Your role will include evolving recognition initiatives and award programs for associates, managing a vibrant calendar of engagement activities to cultivate a connected culture. Job Requirements
- Ability to work onsite in Overland Park KS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- At least 8 years of experience with program development or program management
- At least 6 years of experience managing financial budgets and/or accounting tasks
- Ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
- Ability to secure and deploy resources effectively and efficiently
- Ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals

Job Duties
- Design, develop and manage complex internal and external event programs that deliver highly visible business-aligned outcomes
- Lead strategy and execution for over 150 annual tradeshows including inventory oversight partner coordination and evaluation of organizational memberships to support future growth
- Oversee internal and external events within Netsmart buildings collaborating with Facilities IT and Client Experience teams to ensure seamless execution and strategic alignment
- Manage a calendar of associate engagement events to foster a connected and vibrant workplace culture
- Support and evolve recognition initiatives and associate award programs
- Lead all aspects of CONNECTIONS the Netsmart annual user conference including backend planning multi-year contracting logistics catering room setups and cross-functional coordination
- Plan and execute large-scale corporate events such as user groups retreats and bootcamps contributing to new event concepts budgeting and strategic planning
- Manage and mentor a team of eight associates fostering a collaborative high-performing culture focused on growth accountability and development
- Demonstrate strong executive presence while partnering with senior leaders to align event strategy with business priorities and drive impactful outcomes
- Serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders regarding program objectives outcomes and continuous improvement
- Ensure completion of program deliverables and development of business processes that meet strategic goals
- Monitor program performance against defined objectives and implement improvement strategies as needed
- Lead process and program improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
