The Manager of Conferences and Events at nCino plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and execution of over 60 annual events that are crucial to advancing the company’s brand, marketing, and revenue goals. This leadership role combines the responsibility of managing and developing a high-performing team with hands-on oversight of the entire event lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead and scale event teams in fast-paced environments, as well as create and implement strategic event initiatives that align closely with key business objectives such as pipeline generation, customer retention, and revenue expansion.
This position requires a strategic thinker who can manage complex global event programs, establish best practices, and foster innovation in event formats and technologies. From partnering with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Success, and Executive leadership to managing significant event budgets and vendor relationships, the Manager of Conferences and Events has a broad scope of influence. This role is also responsible for defining event performance metrics to continuously optimize return on investment and enhance the overall attendee experience.

Job Requirements
- Proven track record of leading and scaling event teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple large-scale events simultaneously
- Excellent leadership and team development capabilities

- Experience managing significant budgets and delivering ROI-driven results

- Approximately 15% of travel
Job Qualifications
- Undergraduate or advanced degree
- 8+ years related professional experience
- 2+ years management experience
- Experience in fintech or technology sectors
- Familiarity with event management software and digital event platforms
- Experience with event analytics and ROI measurement
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Cvent, and event technology platforms
Job Duties
- Lead, develop, and scale a team of conference specialists through structured talent development programs, clear performance frameworks, and proactive succession planning
- Own North America event strategy from concept to execution, ensuring every event ties directly to company objectives, marketing OKR's, brand positioning, product marketing messaging, and revenue goals
- Establish and influence global best practices for event planning, production, and measurement, creating repeatable, scalable frameworks in collaboration across all global regions
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Executive leadership to ensure events actively support pipeline generation, customer retention, and expansion objectives
- Build and manage a comprehensive global event budget, driving ROI optimization and cost-effective delivery without compromising attendee experience
- Define and operationalize event performance measurement systems, tracking lead generation, pipeline contribution, and ROI, and translate data into continuous improvement
- Cultivate and negotiate strategic vendor and agency partnerships that deliver competitive advantages and operational efficiencies
- Champion innovation in event formats, technology integration, and attendee engagement, bringing fresh thinking to how nCino connects with customers, prospects, and the broader financial services community
- Stay ahead of emerging event trends and technologies, applying relevant insights to keep nCino's event presence differentiated and forward-looking
