The Senior Manager of Business Development, Fresh at KeHE plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s fresh redistribution business to new heights. This is a full-time role with a competitive salary range of $88,500 to $110,000 per year. The position demands an individual who is not only strategic and analytical but also highly collaborative, customer-centric, and results-driven. The Senior Manager will lead the efforts in identifying, establishing, and expanding business opportunities across broadline and regional fresh categories including deli, foodservice, bakery, bulk, meat & seafood, and produce.
Key responsibilities for this role include developing innovative fresh solutions positioning KeHE as an industry leader, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as commercial strategy, marketing, IT, and customer care to build profitable programs and infrastructure, and engaging deeply with prospective and existing customers to craft tailored business cases. The role demands sophisticated financial analysis capabilities to evaluate ongoing performance and drive continuous improvement.
Moreover, the Senior Manager will be expected to represent KeHE at various trade shows and industry events, establishing and nurturing key relationships with customers and stakeholders. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of category management, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive under competitive pressure while maintaining a focus on service excellence.
Candidates for this role should possess a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, along with significant experience in fresh products and redistribution, specifically natural, organic, specialty, gourmet, and bulk products. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of relevant experience with a proven track record in business development and a commitment to long-term employment with a single employer. This role also requires a willingness to travel for approximately 25% of the time.
