Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG), is a pioneering fast-casual restaurant chain committed to cultivating a better world through responsibly sourced, classically cooked, and real food made with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle stands out as the only restaurant company of its size to own and operate all its restaurants in North America and Europe. Known for its passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience, Chipotle has long been a leader and innovator in the food industry. The company embraces sustainable business practices and is leading the way in digital and technological advancements to remain accessible and relevant to consumers globally. Chipotle fosters a diverse and inclusive culture, valuing equity and inclusion across all levels of the organization, and it is committed to hiring world-class talent to drive positive change.

The Senior Manager, Brand Marketing (Menu Innovation) role at Chipotle offers a dynamic and high-impact opportunity to directly influence the future of Chipotle’s core menu. This role is based in the Newport Beach, CA office with a hybrid schedule that includes four days onsite and one day remote, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The Senior Manager will lead the innovation pipeline end-to-end—from identifying consumer insights and developing concepts to launching new products—working closely with culinary, supply chain, operations, and executive leadership to ensure business continuity and quality excellence. This position is pivotal in driving menu strategies that stimulate growth, improve quality, and reinforce brand relevance.

Responsibilities of the role include assessing emerging menu opportunities by analyzing market trends, consumer behaviors, and cultural movements. The Senior Manager will prioritize menu initiatives by aligning with executive goals that balance consumer appeal, financial viability, and operational risk. Collaborating with Chipotle’s culinary team, the role involves crafting insights-driven product development briefs and designing go-to-market launch strategies that ensure seamless consumer experiences. Coordination spans multiple departments, including Product Development & Commercialization, Supply Chain, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Consumer Insights, Finance, and Restaurant Operations.

This position also entails managing internal and external communications partners, including traditional advertising agencies, experiential marketing teams, social media, and digital marketing groups, to create impactful go-to-market campaigns. Additionally, the Senior Manager will develop and optimize emerging portfolio opportunities in group occasions and digital sales channels. Leadership responsibilities include building and guiding a core menu team, supporting the Director of Brand Marketing with direct reports. The role demands strong business acumen, executive presence, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams amidst competing priorities.

The compensation for this role ranges from $150,000 to $222,000 annually, supplemented by annual cash bonuses and equity awards. Chipotle offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement plans, sick leave, vacation time, and other benefits. This is a remarkable chance for an experienced brand marketing professional with a passion for food innovation to join an influential and rapidly evolving brand, shaping the future of fast, responsible, and delicious dining.
