Job Description

Fairfield is a nationally recognized leader in the multifamily housing industry, dedicated to creating exceptional apartment living experiences. With a portfolio that encompasses a wide range of residential communities, Fairfield prides itself on building vibrant and engaged communities where residents feel valued and at home. The company emphasizes a culture grounded in trust, support, and mutual respect, making it an ideal employer for individuals who are driven to contribute meaningfully to their work environment. Fairfield’s growth and success stem from its commitment to investing in its people, providing ample opportunities for career development, personal growth, and collaboration across all levels of the organization.

At Sienna at Cherry Creek Apartments, a community featuring 220 units, Fairfield is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join their team. This full-time, hourly role offers a competitive pay range between $25.11 and $28.08 per hour, with an additional 40% apartment allowance for those living on-site. The position is non-exempt and designed for someone who thrives in a hands-on, diverse maintenance environment where technical skills and customer service intersect.

The Senior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks essential to preserving the property’s safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. This person will handle a wide variety of repairs and preventive maintenance duties related to HVAC systems, electrical components, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, pool maintenance, and appliance servicing. The role demands strong diagnostic and repair skills, as well as the ability to respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from residents and management.

Beyond routine maintenance, the technician will also oversee the condition and upkeep of amenities such as pools and hot tubs, while ensuring the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of the community. This includes conducting regular inspections of common areas and equipment to prevent issues before they arise. Supervising outside contractors in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor is another critical function, requiring coordination and leadership skills. The technician will help manage inventory, assist with procurement of supplies, and maintain records related to maintenance activities.

Safety and compliance are top priorities within the role, with responsibilities encompassing assistance in safety meetings, adherence to policies and regulations, and reporting any potential liabilities to ensure the property remains in full compliance. Additionally, the Senior Maintenance Technician will engage with residents and participate in community functions, fostering a welcoming atmosphere and supporting positive resident relations.

Fairfield supports its associates with a culture that encourages innovation, career growth, and teamwork. Employees benefit from comprehensive training programs, coaching, and mentoring that encourage professional development and support the pursuit of new ideas. The company offers a robust benefits package that includes paid time off, paid holidays, sick days, volunteer time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, matched 401(k) plans, flexible spending accounts, and life insurance.

This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with at least two years of experience in property maintenance, strong technical aptitude across multiple systems, and excellent communication capabilities. Candidates must either hold or be willing to obtain essential certifications such as the HVAC-EPA (Type II) or EPA Universal license and the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license within 90 days of hire, along with a valid driver's license. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and be on-call for after-hours emergencies is necessary.

Join Fairfield and become part of a company that values collaboration, growth, and making a lasting impact in the multifamily housing industry. You will be positioned to build your skills, contribute to meaningful work, and grow your career within a supportive and dynamic team environment at Sienna at Cherry Creek Apartments.
