Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a leading, family-owned company specializing in senior living communities across the United States, proudly operating more than 60 vibrant locations nationwide. With a commitment to creating resort-style environments, RLC focuses on delivering exceptional experiences for seniors by fostering welcoming, supportive, and safe communities. The company is driven by its Core Values—Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence—which serve as the foundation for its approach to leadership and resident care. As a fast-growing organization, RLC places great emphasis on family-oriented values and servant leadership, ensuring that every interaction and operation reflects its commitment to quality and compassion. Their communities provide a dynamic and engaging for seniors seeking a balanced and fulfilling independent lifestyle, supported by dedicated teams who truly care about the well-being of residents and staff alike.
This role is a unique onsite leadership opportunity at one of RLC's Independent Living Retirement Communities. It is not a remote position; candidates must be willing to relocate and live onsite at the community. This position invites a dynamic couple or two-person team who are passionate about serving senior citizens and want to become embedded leaders within the community. As Community Managers, the selected team will live in a single onsite 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment, allowing full immersion into daily operations and resident life. The role blends hospitality, operations, sales, and relationship-building elements to help maintain high resident satisfaction and a thriving community atmosphere.
The Community Managers will lead a team of over 20 employees, ensuring smooth operations and a warm environment that residents truly consider home. Key objectives include fostering happy employees, ensuring joyful residents, maintaining full occupancy, and managing operations within budget. The role demands availability primarily Sunday through Thursday with required on-call nights and occasional weekend or holiday support, making leadership highly visible and accessible. The position offers competitive compensation, approximately $60,000 annually per person plus profit sharing potential along with benefits and onsite housing. The Community Managers will be responsible for overseeing all community operations, including departments such as dining, activities, housekeeping, maintenance, transportation, and sales. They will provide hands-on leadership to multiple teams, uphold compliance with company standards, and maintain excellence in resident experience. This is a rewarding leadership role tailored for individuals or pairs with strong leadership, hospitality, and sales skills who excel at team management and community engagement, ready to serve with a servant-leadership mindset in a purpose-driven environment.
