Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a fast-growing, family-owned company with more than 60 communities nationwide, dedicated to serving seniors with respect, honesty, kindness, compassion, and service excellence. RLC operates resort-style Independent Living Retirement Communities designed to provide seniors with a warm, welcoming environment where they can enjoy an exceptional quality of life. The company deeply values the relationships they build with residents and employees, fostering a servant-hearted culture that truly feels like family. At RLC, employees don’t just work—they contribute daily to a greater mission of enriching the lives of seniors across the country.
This particular role is an exciting and unique opportunity for a couple or two-person team to live on-site at one of RLC's beautiful Independent Living Retirement Communities. As Community Managers, the selected team will immerse themselves fully in community life by residing in an on-site two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, enabling them to respond quickly and effectively to the needs of residents and employees. The primary mission is to ensure happy employees, happy residents, full occupancy, and on-budget operations, effectively blending hospitality, operations management, sales, and relationship-building responsibilities.
The role requires dynamic leadership overseeing a team of over 20 caring employees across various departments including executive chef, sales, lifestyle, dining, concierge, housekeeping, maintenance, and transportation. Community Managers will provide hands-on leadership and foster a supportive environment that enhances resident satisfaction and well-being. A typical schedule includes Sunday through Thursday workdays, with at least two nights on-call weekly, plus additional evening, weekend, or holiday responsibilities as community needs dictate.
Applicants must be willing to relocate and live on-site as a condition of employment and be at least 25 years old to meet liability insurance requirements for operating the resident shuttle. This on-site living arrangement not only positions managers to lead by example but also helps maintain a tight-knit community atmosphere that RLC is known for.
In addition to day-to-day management responsibilities, the role calls for strong skills in sales and marketing to meet occupancy goals and budget management to ensure financial health. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems is necessary for handling community operations and financial analysis efficiently. The ideal team will possess a servant-leadership mindset, always ready to step in wherever needed to ensure service excellence across all functions.
Full-time employees in this position receive competitive compensation, approximately $60,000 annually per person with profit-sharing potential, along with comprehensive benefits and on-site housing provided. A $341 benefit stipend per pay period is offered to each team member to apply toward health insurance, dental insurance, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, accident and hospital indemnity plans, legal and identity theft protection. Additional perks include paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and the convenience of accessing pay anytime.
This role is ideal for a leadership duo passionate about serving seniors in a meaningful way, within a supportive and beautiful resort-style environment where their impact is felt every day. Joining RLC means becoming part of a purpose-driven company with a heartfelt commitment to community and excellence, providing you with both the opportunity and environment to thrive in senior living management.
