The company places a strong emphasis on creating a supportive and inclusive workplace that values diversity and fosters professional growth. Employees at White Lodging benefit from a dynamic environment where professional development and career advancement are actively encouraged, making it an attractive employer for those passionate about hospitality and culinary arts.
We are currently looking to hire an experienced line cook to join our culinary team within our vibrant hotel properties. This position is ideal for individuals ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced kitchen environment and who are eager to mentor budding culinary talents. The line cook will be responsible for executing back-of-house operations in accordance with food and beverage procedures, health codes, and federal guidelines. This is a hands-on role requiring proficiency in various cooking techniques such as sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery. A culinary degree or apprenticeship is preferred but not mandatory, and candidates must be prepared to work standing for extended periods at a fast pace.
The role involves managing day-to-day kitchen prep and food production while ensuring the highest standards of food quality and consistency. The line cook will mentor entry-level cooks and culinary apprentices, fostering a respectful and cooperative team culture. The position also includes responsibilities related to food safety, sanitation, proper storage, and handling of ingredients, and maintaining food and labor cost targets. Success in this role contributes directly to positive guest feedback and overall satisfaction. Furthermore, White Lodging provides flexible scheduling options and an easy shift-swapping system through a dedicated app, promoting work-life balance and convenience.
This opportunity offers considerable rewards beyond an engaging work environment. Employees enjoy comprehensive benefits such as DailyPay for early wage access, unlimited referral bonuses, 401(k) plans with company matching, paid time off with rollover options, and access to wellness tools and leadership development programs. Full-time associates receive medical, dental, and vision insurance starting from day one, along with life and disability insurance and paid parental leave. Moreover, employees benefit from discounts on hotel rooms, dining, and travel. The position offers excellent prospects for career growth across multiple hotel properties within the market, making it perfect for culinary professionals seeking long-term development within the hospitality industry. White Lodging values diversity and is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where all associates can thrive.
