The position focuses on supporting culinary operations by mentoring junior culinary staff and overseeing food preparation and production in your designated food outlet. This role requires a strong understanding of proper food handling, preparation techniques, and compliance with health and safety regulations. As part of the culinary team, you will help maintain high food quality standards, monitor ingredient freshness, and ensure recipes and portion controls are adhered to in order to manage food and labor costs effectively. Your duties will include fostering a positive, collaborative work environment while providing leadership and support to entry-level cooks and apprentices. This position contributes directly to enhancing guest satisfaction scores by delivering consistent food quality and exceptional service. Ideal candidates will have a good working knowledge of cooking equipment and a broad range of culinary skills including sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery. While culinary education or apprenticeship experience is preferred, it is not required. Physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
