The company is recognized for its emphasis on employee development and fostering a supportive work environment that encourages leadership and career advancement within the hospitality industry.
The position being offered is a PM Shift Senior Level Cook role, ideal for culinary professionals ready to take on leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is part of White Lodging's comprehensive team serving various hotel properties and associated food and beverage operations. The employment type includes both full-time and part-time opportunities, with competitive compensation ranging from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, aligning with the role's seniority and responsibilities.
As a Senior Level Cook on the PM shift, the individual will be pivotal in leading and mentoring entry-level cooks and culinary apprentices, ensuring the smooth operation of the back-of-house (BOH) in compliance with food and beverage procedures, health codes, and federal guidelines. This role requires a hands-on approach to daily preparations and the execution of kitchen tasks, prioritizing food quality, safety, and cost control. The Senior Level Cook will closely monitor ingredient freshness, recipe standards, and portion control to maintain consistency and positively influence guest satisfaction.
The role offers flexibility through advanced scheduling and easy shift swapping via a dedicated app, supporting work-life balance alongside career growth opportunities across multiple properties within the market. White Lodging also provides a range of employee benefits including a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off with rollover options, wellness programs, and leadership development initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings substantial experience with commercial kitchen equipment and displays proficiency in various cooking techniques including sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery. While a culinary degree or apprenticeship is preferred, it is not mandatory, allowing for experienced culinary professionals to apply. The role demands physical stamina, as it involves standing and working at a fast pace for extended durations.
Joining White Lodging means becoming part of an equal opportunity employer that values workforce diversity and inclusion. The company supports full-time associates with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance from day one, life and disability insurance, and paid parental leave. These benefits underscore the company’s dedication to employee wellbeing and professional development.
Overall, this Senior Level Cook position offers a unique blend of culinary leadership, engaging challenges, and the chance to work within a respected hospitality brand committed to excellence and employee success. Candidates eager to contribute to a collaborative team culture and enhance their culinary career are encouraged to apply within 14 days from the posting date.
