Job Description

Senox Corporation is a distinguished manufacturer and supplier specializing in seamless gutter products tailored for residential and light commercial construction. As a family owned and operated business proudly free of debt, Senox has earned a reputable position in the industry by consistently delivering reliable parts and services to seamless gutter contractors. The company’s foundation is built on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, highlighted by its comprehensive manufacturing that covers all components of seamless gutter systems. Moreover, Senox offers unmatched gutter machine servicing designed to keep these machines operational and producing high quality products efficiently. Serving its customers with quick, accurate service, Senox continues to grow and meet the evolving demands of the market while maintaining its core values of trust and reliability.

The senior engineer role at Senox is a critical position responsible for architecting, operating, securing, and automating hybrid IT infrastructure that integrates Scale Computing HC3 virtualization with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The successful candidate will own the monitoring, alerting, automation, backup, recovery, and debugging processes for distributed systems, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, robust security, and cost efficiency. This full-time position is based on-site at Senox’s plant in Mesquite, TX, and offers an annual salary of $136,000. The work schedule involves mainly an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday with additional night and weekend hours as needed to support business operations.

This role demands a blend of hands-on technical expertise and strategic insight. The senior engineer must efficiently design, deploy, and maintain Scale Computing HC3 clusters and virtual machine environments, integrating these with on-premise networking and storage solutions. Expertise in administering AWS resources such as EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, and connectivity to ensure seamless integration between cloud and on-prem infrastructure is essential. The engineer will also build and operate advanced monitoring solutions utilizing CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray, Prometheus, Grafana, and SIEM tools, aligning with established service level objectives and fine-tuning alerts for proactive system management.

Automation is a key focus in this role, involving scripting with PowerShell and Bash, infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform and CloudFormation/CDK, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. The ideal candidate will debug and manage incidents across complex distributed systems, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures. Responsibilities also include designing backup, snapshot, and disaster recovery strategies with regular restore testing to guarantee business continuity.

Cybersecurity forms a vital part of the job, with the senior engineer co-leading cloud and on-premise security practices. This encompasses comprehensive identity and access management, network segmentation, patch management, vulnerability remediation, logging, and incident response. Additionally, the role involves lifecycle management, capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization of virtual machines in both the HC3 clusters and AWS environments. The engineer will develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and postmortem reports and mentor junior engineers to foster team growth and knowledge sharing. Ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and governance across all hybrid deployments underscores the importance of this position in supporting Senox’s technological infrastructure and operational excellence.
