The Identity & Access Management (IAM) Senior Engineer at Jack Henry plays a pivotal role in independently leading the development and enhancement of key IAM products like SailPoint, Saviynt, and Okta. This position is important for the company’s strategic goals as it directly contributes to securing digital identities and access across platforms, thereby protecting sensitive financial data and improving operational efficiency. The IAM Senior Engineer is responsible for implementing role management, lifecycle management, and access certifications while also solving complex business problems and mentoring peers within the team. They stay current on industry trends and provide technical support and training for IAM applications. This role requires a high level of expertise in managing identity lifecycles using Microsoft Active Directory, troubleshooting using SIEM tools, applying IAM policies, integrating solutions with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure, and automating processes to enhance security initiatives. Additionally, the candidate will build custom automation with scripting languages and tools including PowerShell, RPA, SQL, and Power Automate.

This position allows for remote work within the United States except for California, with a preference that East Coast applicants are willing to work Central or Mountain time zone hours. Interview and onboarding processes will include onsite verification for identity confirmation. It is important to note that this role does not provide immigration sponsorship or support.

The role demands a professional with at least six years of experience in Identity and Access Management, including four years of specialized experience with SailPoint engineering or architecture. The candidate must have advanced knowledge of IAM platforms and a strong ability to create and update scripts and code, as well as experience working with APIs and cloud infrastructures. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity, deep understanding of access management frameworks (RBAC, ABAC, PBAC), security certification processes, directory service integrations, and leadership skills in technical project implementations.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Ability to generate and interpret metrics and reports
  • Experience with Privileged Access Management tools such as Delinea Secret Server

Job Duties

  • Plan, design, develop, redesign, and implement IAM products such as SailPoint, Saviynt, and Okta
  • Analyze and implement authorization methods including RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, role management, lifecycle management, separation of duties, and access certifications
  • Configure, integrate, and tailor IAM products to solve business problems and meet client requirements
  • Review IAM technical white papers and provide guidance on future offerings
  • Manage identity lifecycle using Microsoft Active Directory, including access certification lifecycle and account management
  • Perform integrations with directories both cloud and on-premises and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Create and update metrics, automate data collection and aggregation using PowerShell, RPA, SQL, and Power Automate
  • Participate in client meetings to determine business goals and desired outcomes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
