This Human Resources Support position plays a crucial role in assisting management and leadership teams with handling and resolving HR-related issues efficiently. The role involves supporting employees through internal and external transfer procedures and assisting managers and supervisors with hiring processes and problem resolution. Key responsibilities include coordinating drug testing, reference verification, background checks, motor vehicle department verifications, and social security number confirmations. The position requires meticulous record-keeping of applicant flow, drug tests, orientations, and transfer requests, maintaining accurate new hire and personnel files, and entering data into HR information systems.
Additionally, this role helps with the orientation of new employees and ensures all recruitment processes comply with local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies and standards. The HR Support professional is responsible for preserving stringent confidentiality of employee records, assisting with payroll record processing, producing HR data reports, answering phones, and drafting correspondence. This position also serves as an HR subject matter expert, participating in project teams and training new employees on HR processes, programs, policies, and information systems. Employees in this role uphold company policies, present themselves in a professional manner, and maintain the privacy of company information. Moreover, the HR Support partner fosters positive workplace relationships, supports team goals, and responds effectively to employee concerns.
This role is ideal for candidates who have a high school diploma or equivalent GED and at least one year of relevant work experience. While supervisory experience is not required, the position demands excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to perform reasonable physical tasks, such as moving or lifting objects up to 10 pounds.
