The Senior HR Business Partner at EchoStar is responsible for providing high-level consultation and expertise across various human resource functions including compensation, talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and organizational design. This position involves partnering closely with senior and executive leadership to develop and implement human capital initiatives aligned with business goals. The role emphasizes a data-driven approach, employing industry research and analytics to recommend impactful strategies that enhance organizational performance and employee experience. The Senior HR Business Partner supports leadership in resolving complex personnel issues and plays a key role in fostering the company culture and advancing leadership capabilities throughout the organization.

This role also entails evaluating and optimizing organizational design, collaborating with compensation and total rewards teams to attract and retain top talent, and partnering with People Operations to expand HR service delivery models through innovative change management and process improvements. Additionally, the Senior HR Business Partner ensures regulatory compliance, manages employee lifecycle events, and advocates for HR programs while minimizing disruption to business operations. Travel requirements for this role are minimal, estimated at less than 10%, underscoring a balance between onsite engagement and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5-7+ years of HR experience across multiple disciplines
  • 5+ years supporting large organizations
  • 5+ years partnering with senior or executive leadership
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort in data-driven recommendations
  • Excellent relationship-building and coaching abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and work with minimal oversight
  • Previous management experience is a plus
  • Must report to work on a regular and predictable basis

Job Duties

  • Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders with a focus on partnership with senior and executive leadership
  • Take a data-driven approach to recommending human capital initiatives with measurable returns
  • Provide consulting and coaching to support leadership in large scale personnel issues
  • Influence leaders to integrate leadership development into human capital strategy
  • Support strategic activities such as performance appraisal, talent planning, and employee experience survey action planning
  • Evaluate organizational design and optimize performance and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate with compensation and total rewards teams to develop talent attraction and retention strategies
  • Partner with People Operations to expand HR service delivery models through change management
  • Provide expertise on employment regulations affecting hiring, termination, and rewards
  • Support organizational change initiatives related to talent and structure
  • Advocate for HR program rollout to minimize disruption
  • Partner with senior leaders to improve employee experience
  • Work with HR shared services for alignment and process improvement
  • Act as an employment brand ambassador demonstrating company culture and values
  • Articulate and support departmental and corporate business goals including financial impacts of HR actions
  • Report to work regularly and meet all performance expectations
