Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of relevant environmental services experience
- Working knowledge of cleaning techniques for healthcare environments
- Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Capacity to multitask and manage changing priorities
- Availability to work evening shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must maintain Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card if working in specified facilities
Job Qualifications
- One to two years of diversified environmental service experience in healthcare or institutional setting
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment operation
- Ability to follow infection control procedures including hand hygiene
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to multitask and work despite interruptions
- Experience serving as role model for customer service and safe work practices
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Additional related education or experience preferred
Job Duties
- Responds promptly to cleaning service requests via tracking systems
- Conducts specialty cleaning and infection control in clinical and sterile areas
- Maintains and operates cleaning equipment, notifying for repairs
- Assesses environmental conditions to ensure safety and orderliness
- Provides leadership and training to less experienced associates
- Performs scheduled floor care procedures including mopping and carpet extraction
- Communicates effectively with supervisors and facility staff about repairs and cleaning status
