With a rich history rooted in creativity, innovation, and heartfelt service, Gaylord Hotels is committed to creating an environment where associates—referred to as STARs—can thrive and exceed guest expectations. Operating under the umbrella of Marriott International, one of the world's leading hospitality companies, Gaylord Hotels blends world-class service with the exclusivity of unique and vibrant hotel environments. Gaylord Hotels offers more than a traditional hotel experience, providing employees with limitless career opportunities and a wide range of benefits. They foster an inclusive and diverse workplace where every employee is valued for their background, talent, and individual experiences.
The role being offered is a Quality Control Specialist located at 1000 H St, Chula Vista, California. This is a full-time, non-management position with a pay rate of $29.75 per hour. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that world-class service is consistently delivered to both internal and external customers by monitoring representative contacts. Quality Control Specialists concentrate on quality, precision, productivity, and employee motivation with an emphasis on consistency, feedback, and accurate follow-up. Working within established company policies and safety standards, the person in this position must maintain a professional appearance and effective communication at all times.
This specialist is responsible for welcoming and acknowledging each guest according to company standards and anticipating their needs with genuine appreciation. Excellent communication skills and professional telephone etiquette are essential as the role involves interacting with guests and coworkers in a clear and respectful manner. The job also requires the ability to read and verify information in various formats and carry out reasonable physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking for prolonged periods, and moving or lifting objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Gaylord Hotels values associates who build positive working relationships and respond appropriately to colleagues’ concerns while fulfilling quality control expectations.
At Gaylord Hotels, inclusive hiring practices are prioritized. Marriott International actively promotes an environment that recognizes and celebrates cultural diversity and welcomes individuals of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities and veterans, in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Furthermore, qualified candidates with criminal histories will be considered fairly. Joining Gaylord Hotels means becoming part of a global team where you will have the opportunity to perform your best work, fulfill your personal purpose, and continuously grow into your best version. This role offers a unique chance to contribute meaningfully in a supportive, dynamic setting backed by a strong commitment to quality and service excellence.
