The Senior Geospatial Data Engineer position at CACI presents an exciting opportunity to work within the AGIS Release Train, which develops the geospatial data infrastructure and analytical capabilities highly relied upon by NGA analysts. This full-time, regular role requires a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance, with eligibility to operate across the continental US traveling up to 10 percent of the time. In this role, the senior engineer will lead the development of end-to-end geospatial data pipelines, focusing on open-source geospatial software tools (FOSS4G). They will work closely with mission users and cross-functional delivery teams to integrate and visualize complex geospatial data. Responsibilities include designing data workflows using GDAL/OGR for transforming diverse data formats, managing GeoParquet datasets in data lakes, and administering ArcGIS Enterprise environments. Additionally, the role involves integrating tools such as QGIS, GeoServer, and MapServer, developing Python analytical environments through Jupyter Notebooks, and collaborating on spatial data indexing and AI-assisted retrieval. As a senior team member, there is also an expectation to lead technical refinement sessions and contribute to program increment (PI) planning.

Job Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Eight plus years of software or data engineering experience
- Five plus years in geospatial domains
- Proficiency in Python geospatial libraries
- Experience developing Jupyter Notebooks
- Working knowledge of FOSS4G toolchain
- Experience with GeoParquet and columnar formats
- ArcGIS Server and Enterprise administration skills
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience
Job Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Eight plus years of software or data engineering experience with at least five years in geospatial domains
- Proficiency in Python geospatial stack including GDAL, Fiona, Shapely, GeoPandas, and Rasterio
- Strong Jupyter Notebook development experience for analytical and mission workflows
- Working knowledge of the FOSS4G ecosystem including QGIS, GeoServer, MapServer, and GRASS
- Experience with GeoParquet and columnar formats in production environments
- ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Enterprise administration experience
- Bachelor of Science in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience accepted
- Familiarity with OGC service standards such as WMS, WFS, WCS
- Experience operating within SAFe or Agile delivery frameworks
Job Duties
- Design and deliver end-to-end geospatial data pipelines from ingest through analyst-facing visualization leveraging GDAL/OGR-based transformation and processing across diverse data formats
- Develop and maintain Python-based analytical environments via Jupyter Notebooks tailored to mission user workflows
- Manage GeoParquet datasets within the program's data lake architecture
- Implement and extend columnar format pipelines for production use
- Administer ArcGIS Server services and portal configurations integrating with FOSS4G tools
- Collaborate with AGIS Search team on spatial data indexing and AI-assisted retrieval integration
- Lead technical refinement sessions and provide PI Planning input on data engineering epics and cross-team dependencies
