Job Description

Raffles Boston is a prestigious luxury hotel renowned for its commitment to cultural appreciation and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. The hotel prides itself on fostering an environment where diversity is not only recognized but celebrated, ensuring that each team member feels valued and connected to the rich cultural heritage that defines Raffles. This commitment to cultural integration begins from the moment a prospective employee interacts with the hotel and continues throughout their entire career journey, emphasizing teamwork, respect, and excellence.

The Senior Food & Beverage Manager role at Raffles Boston represents a pivotal leadership position within the hotel's Food & Beverage department. This role is responsible for overseeing all facets of Food & Beverage operations while maintaining high profitability and quality standards. The manager will supervise daily activities of the outlet, ensure compliance with local health and liquor laws, and uphold the hotel's stringent standards of service and presentation. A critical aspect of this role is to foster a positive working environment by reducing employee turnover, promoting business through innovative ideas, and managing budgets meticulously. The manager needs to provide visible leadership by being actively present on the floor and assisting staff during meal periods, ensuring guests consistently enjoy a high-quality dining experience.

In addition, the Senior Food & Beverage Manager will collaborate closely with other management personnel to address guest complaints efficiently, coordinate loss prevention efforts, and prepare accurate reports such as payroll, revenue analysis, and employee schedules. The role involves menu planning assistance and guarantees adherence to standard operating procedures while conducting regular staff performance evaluations in line with Raffles standards. Training and development of team members are integral to this role, as well as participating in departmental and hotel-wide training to uphold operational excellence.

This position demands a strong background in luxury hotel management or fine dining settings. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of Food & Beverage managerial experience in a luxury environment and have at least three years of progressive hotel or related field experience. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Proficiency in English communication, knowledge of food and beverage preparation, health and sanitation regulations, and expertise in wines and spirits are essential for success in this role.

Physically, the role requires flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Effective communication skills and the ability to multitask under pressure are vital, as is maintaining a warm, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor at all times.

The salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $90,000 annually. Employees benefit from an exclusive employee card providing discounts at Accor hotels worldwide, alongside excellent medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages. Raffles also offers personalized professional development opportunities within Accor's broad brand portfolio and encourages participation in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, allowing employees to make a meaningful impact.
