Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • or two-year degree in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • minimum three years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • strong leadership and supervisory skills

  • knowledge of food and beverage operations and standards
  • ability to manage budgets and staffing

  • proficiency in staff training and development
  • familiarity with standard operating procedures and legal compliance

Job Duties

  • assists in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms
  • supervises daily food and beverage shift operations and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures
  • supports and supervises monthly self-inspection programs
  • operates department equipment and reports malfunctions
  • supervises staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
  • encourages mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • monitors and maintains employee productivity
  • ensures compliance with brand specific philosophies
  • manages operating budgets and legal obligations
  • assists supervisors in meeting team member needs
  • communicates areas needing attention and follows up
  • coordinates cleaning programs and recommends improvements
  • establishes open collaborative relationships with employees
  • creates a motivating and empowering environment
  • follows property specific recovery plans
  • provides exceptional customer service and proactively addresses guest concerns
  • reviews guest feedback and results with employees
  • manages human resource activities including performance appraisals, hiring, disciplinary actions, and training
  • manages beverage purchasing and control procedures
  • analyzes information to solve problems and makes decisions
  • performs hourly job functions if necessary
