Currently, SOCOTEC is seeking to hire a Senior Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician/Inspector. This full-time role is critical in ensuring that construction materials meet stringent testing and quality control standards necessary for successful project completion. The Senior CMT Technician/Inspector will be actively involved in field testing and inspecting soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials at various project sites. By performing these inspections, the technician supports quality assurance and compliance with relevant industry standards and project specifications.
The individual in this position will take responsibility for conducting thorough quality control inspections, documenting accurate test results, and preparing detailed field reports. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction materials testing, quality control inspection, or a related field
- Knowledge of standard test methods for soils, concrete, and asphalt
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Job Duties
- Perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials in accordance with applicable standards and project requirements
- Conduct quality control inspections on construction sites and document observations
- Prepare accurate field reports, test results, and supporting project documentation
- Maintain field and laboratory records and ensure data is complete and organized
- Communicate test results and observations to project managers, contractors, and clients
- Follow company safety procedures and industry standards while working in the field
