Job Description
The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is part of the Federal Reserve System, the central banking system of the United States. It plays a crucial role in supporting the nation’s economy by strengthening the economic, financial, and payments systems. The bank collaborates with leading technology professionals and consistently invests in contemporary and emerging technologies to uphold the stability and efficiency of the Federal Reserve and the broader economy. The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is committed to building a dynamic and diverse team that will help shape the future of economic security and financial stability in the country. The bank offers a workplace that values differences, inclusive practices, and opportunities for professional growth. This position is onsite and full-time, primarily based in Denver, Colorado, with an 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM work shift and an on-call rotation to address urgent needs.
The role offered is a Facilities/Real Estate position focused on the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of critical building systems essential for data center operations, cash processing, and commercial kitchen functionalities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a vast array of building equipment including electrical distribution systems, environmental controls such as chillers and HVAC units, specialty building systems like fire/safety and access control mechanisms. This role requires a professional with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex issues using both mechanical and electronic testing equipment and to collaborate with various internal stakeholders such as building engineers, project managers, and general contractors.
In this position, the individual will also manage safety certifications and training, support construction projects, and maintain cleanliness and operational standards within critical mechanical and electrical spaces. The role demands strong technical skills to handle building automation systems, fire/life safety equipment, and energy efficiency improvements. Additionally, managing vendor services, creating purchase orders for parts, and coordinating with manufacturers for technical support are key duties. The Federal Reserve Bank expects the candidate to have a senior understanding of business processes and to serve as a resource for less experienced staff, potentially providing training and guidance. This job provides an excellent opportunity for professionals who want to contribute to a significant national institution while working in a cutting-edge facilities environment. The starting pay range is $69,200 to $89,500 and is based on qualifications and other factors. Sponsorship is not available for this position, so applicants must already have authorization to work in the United States.
