Job Description

Sodexo is a global leader in quality of life services, dedicated to creating a better everyday for everyone. With operations spanning across multiple countries, the company provides diverse services including food service, catering, and facilities management that enhance the experience of clients and their customers alike. Sodexo prides itself on its commitment to diversity and inclusion, fostering a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and able to be themselves. The company partners with numerous organizations to contribute to economic, social, and environmental progress, constantly driving innovation within its sectors.

The role of Executive Chef 4 at Sodexo, based at Erlanger Main in Chattanooga, TN, offers a unique opportunity to join one of the largest tertiary referral hospitals in the Southeast. Erlanger Baroness Hospital is a 688-bed facility and a Level 1 Trauma Center serving a broad geographic area including East Tennessee, North Georgia, North Alabama, and Western North Carolina. This position is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality culinary services in a healthcare setting, where food plays a crucial role in patient care and satisfaction.

As an Executive Chef 4, you will manage the daily food production operations at Erlanger Baroness Hospital, working with a dedicated team to maintain Sodexo's renowned culinary standards. Your responsibilities will include overseeing production planning and controls, ensuring all recipes and food quality standards are consistently met, and managing food costing and inventory. The role demands a dynamic leader who can develop innovative menus while balancing nutritional needs and special dietary requirements including allergens.

This position requires a passion for food and innovation, alongside a rigorous adherence to safety and sanitation protocols specific to a healthcare environment. The executive chef will be tasked with training and mentoring front-line culinary employees to uphold the highest standards of service and food quality, fostering a customer-centric culture. Familiarity with Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) is preferred, enabling efficient management of operations and reporting.

Sodexo offers a competitive and equitable compensation package that reflects a candidate’s education, relevant experience, skills, and training. The typical work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, providing a balanced work-life structure. In addition to salary, the company offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision care, wellness programs, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, career growth opportunities, and tuition reimbursement.

Joining Sodexo as an Executive Chef 4 means becoming part of an organization committed to excellence and continuous improvement. The company’s values emphasize fairness, respect, and inclusion, ensuring that your ideas and opinions contribute to a stronger, more innovative team. Sodexo is dedicated to equal employment opportunities for all qualified individuals and provides assistance during the application process to foster an inclusive recruitment experience. If you have a strong culinary background combined with management expertise and a drive to deliver exceptional food service in a healthcare environment, this role represents a compelling next step in your career journey.
