Job Description
LifeWorks Restaurant Group, an independently operated division of Aramark, is a leader in redefining corporate dining. With a focus on delivering exceptional culinary experiences tailored to sophisticated corporate environments, LifeWorks elevates food service by integrating fine dining quality with hospitality-driven innovation. The company designs custom dining solutions that not only meet client needs but transform them into sensory experiences that nourish company culture and employee satisfaction. Each client partnership begins with transparency and collaboration, encompassing everything from space design and service delivery to the marketing of the final branded food product. This comprehensive approach ensures that every aspect of the dining experience is carefully curated to reflect the client’s vision and LifeWorks’ culinary philosophy. LifeWorks Restaurant Group prides itself on a team of forward-thinking culinary professionals who are passionate about crafting meals that go beyond mere nourishment to become memorable, inspiring moments within the workplace.
The Senior Executive Chef role at LifeWorks is a distinguished position crafted for a visionary culinary leader who thrives on innovation and impeccable organization. This is not the typical back-of-house job; it is a dynamic opportunity to lead and shape a refined culinary program within an esteemed corporate dining setting. The Senior Executive Chef will be responsible for orchestrating all aspects of the culinary operation, ensuring that every dish served is a masterpiece of flavor, presentation, and consistency. This role is ideal for a chef who is passionate about quality, creativity, and delivering a superior dining experience that supports and enhances corporate culture through gastronomy.
In this role, the Senior Executive Chef will manage and mentor kitchen personnel, ensuring their development and high performance while maintaining a team environment focused on excellence and innovation. Responsibilities include estimating food consumption, purchasing and requisitioning supplies, standardizing recipes for consistent quality, and overseeing menu planning and pricing to align with both client expectations and business objectives. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining high standards of safety, sanitation, and equipment operation within the kitchen. This position also offers the opportunity to engage directly in cooking, though not to exceed 20% of the time, allowing the Senior Executive Chef to stay connected with the creative side of the kitchen.
Additionally, the Senior Executive Chef may coordinate special catering events and provide culinary instruction or demonstrations to enhance the culinary team's skills and client engagement. The role involves supervisory responsibilities including hiring, mentoring, conducting performance reviews, and managing compensation for kitchen staff to build a motivated and accomplished team.
LifeWorks values adaptability and a commitment to service excellence, acknowledging that job duties may evolve to best meet client needs and company goals. This senior position requires a professional who combines culinary artistry with strong leadership and operational expertise, driving the success of LifeWorks’ prestigious corporate dining programs. Joining LifeWorks means becoming part of a mission-driven company that prioritizes employee growth, customer satisfaction, and community impact through outstanding food service delivered worldwide.
