The Senior Events Specialist role at BerryDunn is a full-time, hybrid position designed for a highly motivated professional who excels in event planning, logistical coordination, and collaborative marketing. This key role involves partnering with a dynamic marketing team to plan and execute a diverse portfolio of firm-hosted events, conferences, sponsorships, and strategic marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing the firm's brand and supporting business development. Located potentially in Portland, ME; Bangor, ME; Manchester, NH; Waltham, MA; or Hamden, CT, this role demands flexibility, including some evening and weekend work as well as occasional travel to select events.

As a Senior Events Specialist, you will oversee the full lifecycle of events from concept through execution, managing everything from third-party conferences and trade shows to BerryDunn-hosted occasions. This includes developing detailed project briefs, timelines, budgets, and communication plans to ensure seamless event delivery that aligns with firm objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating sponsorship and exhibitor participation, sourcing event-related goods and services like venue and catering, and providing onsite support. You will measure event outcomes, facilitate post-event debriefs, and maintain accurate event data across various project management, marketing, and CRM systems.

The position requires strong multitasking and stakeholder management capabilities, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office 365 including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Copilot. Experience with CRM, marketing automation, virtual event, and project management platforms is essential to support efficient collaboration and execution. The role also includes financial oversight such as budget tracking.

Compensation for this position ranges between $72,000 and $80,000 annually, with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus based on performance. Job Requirements

  • experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously while balancing competing priorities
  • ability to anticipate issues and proactively solve problems
  • strong communication and project management skills
  • strong MS Office 365 skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Copilot
  • a collaborative, service-oriented approach and the ability to build strong relationships across teams and with external partners
  • highly organized with the ability to manage many moving pieces while maintaining accuracy
  • excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders and navigating shifting priorities

  • some lifting up to 50 lbs likely

Job Duties

  • support the full lifecycle of strategy, planning, and execution of third-party conferences and trade shows as well as BerryDunn-hosted events
  • develop project briefs, timelines, budgets, and communication plans to align across the firm and support successful event execution
  • coordinate sponsorship and exhibitor participation including booth contracts, registrations, marketing deliverables, attendees, and communications
  • source and manage event-related goods and services including venue, catering, A/V
  • measure event outcomes, facilitate post-event debriefs, and share insights and recommendations to inform future planning
  • maintain accurate event- and sponsorship-related information across project management, marketing, and CRM systems
  • coordinate and provide onsite support for firm hosted events and select conferences
  • serve as point of contact for industry association memberships and identify opportunities for leveraging marketing and event benefits
  • partner with marketing colleagues, business development professionals, and subject matter experts to deliver coordinated event experiences aligned with firm priorities
  • assist with other marketing projects as needed
