JW Marriott stands out by focusing on its associates, emphasizing their well-being and development as the foundation of providing extraordinary service to guests. The brand promotes a culture of confidence, innovation, genuineness, and intuitive service, inspired by the legacy of its founder, J. Willard Marriott. Working at JW Marriott means being part of a close-knit community where camaraderie and diversity thrive, alongside ample opportunities for training, recognition, and personal growth. The brand proudly offers "The JW Treatment," a unique approach that ensures associates are treated with the utmost care and respect, enabling them to deliver luxury hospitality experiences and to flourish in their careers.

The specific opportunity available is a full-time Management position based in Orlando, Florida at 8701 World Center Dr. This role operates on-site with an annual pay range of $84,000 to $109,000, and includes eligibility for bonuses. The position falls under the Event Management category, focusing on managing and coordinating high-profile, complex events within the hotel property.

As an Event Manager on this prestigious team, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing all event-related documentation and coordinating efforts between Sales, various property departments, and clients. The role demands a high level of service coordination throughout the entire lifecycle of events—from pre-event planning through execution and post-event follow-up. The Event Manager ensures seamless transitions between sales and service teams, maintaining consistent communication and oversighting the entire event process to maximize success and client satisfaction.

Besides handling the operational and logistical aspects of events, the role entails identifying opportunities to enhance revenue by promoting additional services and upgrades tailored to each event. The Event Manager also functions as a direct point of contact for clients after the initial sales turnover, ensuring their experience on the property meets or exceeds expectations. This includes managing budgets, overseeing room blocks and event spaces, conducting pre- and post-event meetings, and proactively managing customer feedback and service challenges.

This position requires strong leadership skills as the Event Manager occasionally acts on behalf of the Director of Event Management or the Director of Event Planning and Operations during their absence. The role demands excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to troubleshoot challenges promptly, and a proactive approach to continuously improve service quality.

Overall, this role is ideal for a motivated professional with a background in event management or related fields who thrives in a dynamic luxury hospitality environment. It offers the chance to work with one of the most prestigious brands in hospitality, contributing to memorable guest experiences while developing one’s career in a supportive and enriching workplace.
