As a full-service hotel, Renaissance Charlotte caters to business and leisure travelers alike with its modern, stylish accommodations and comprehensive event facilities. The hotel is dedicated to fostering a vibrant environment where associates are encouraged to thrive and contribute to memorable guest journeys.
The Hotel Event Manager at Renaissance Charlotte plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of complex events. With an annual pay range of $71,000 to $90,000 and eligibility for bonuses, this full-time management position requires a dynamic individual capable of coordinating with sales teams, various hotel departments, and clients to deliver high-quality service throughout all event phases. The manager will oversee documentation, pre-event planning, on-site support, and post-event follow-ups, maintaining constant communication and collaboration to exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities include managing event budgets, solving operational challenges, leading meetings, and ensuring all event aspects—from guest room blocks to catering and audiovisual services—are flawlessly executed. Additionally, the role demands an entrepreneurial mindset to identify opportunities for up-selling and event enhancement to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction. As a representative of the Director of Event Management or Director of Event Planning and Operations in their absence, the Hotel Event Manager is pivotal in maintaining the continuity and quality of event service delivery. This role is vital in enhancing the overall guest experience by providing attentive customer service, resolving any issues promptly, and continuously striving to improve service standards.
