The Senior Events Manager role at ISC2 is a pivotal leadership position tasked with overseeing and driving the strategic direction of ISC2's extensive events portfolio across the Americas region. This portfolio includes a diverse array of event formats, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, alongside workshops and webinars, all aimed at increasing member engagement, growing brand recognition, and generating revenue. The role demands a seasoned professional who can balance creativity, operational excellence, and strategic foresight to deliver events that resonate with ISC2 members and stakeholders. Beyond operational responsibilities, the Senior Events Manager serves as a mentor and leader, guiding a dynamic team of event planners to achieve financial success while aligning with ISC2's broader goals for engagement and growth.
In this capacity, the Senior Events Manager will lead the Americas Events team by providing cohesive governance and establishing team goals and priorities aligned with ISC2’s strategic objectives. Managing budgets, analyzing performance metrics, and integrating attendee feedback to optimize future programming are core elements of the role. Collaboration is key, involving close work with cross-functional teams to ensure content development and audience acquisition strategies are seamlessly coordinated. The manager will also champion continuous improvement in virtual event design, technology, scalability, and attendee satisfaction to maintain ISC2's reputation for high-quality and impactful virtual experiences.
Operational leadership extends to managing ISC2’s event technologies and vendor relationships, ensuring the sustained performance and enhancement of the event technology ecosystem. The role requires staying current with industry trends and best practices, influencing workflows, and contributing thought leadership within relevant ISC2 committees and initiatives. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
- 10+ years of experience managing in-person, hybrid, and virtual events
- 5+ years of experience with virtual platforms and event technologies such as CVENT
- Proven experience leading distributed or remote teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Experience working cross-functionally within a global organization
- Willingness to learn about AI tools and technologies
- Ability to work extended hours for events
- Ability to travel domestically up to 20%
- Capability to sit or stand for long periods
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs

Job Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite

- 10+ years managing in-person, hybrid, and virtual events
- 5+ years with virtual platforms and event technologies such as CVENT
- CMP or other event certifications preferred
- Experience in cybersecurity, technology, SaaS, or membership associations advantageous
- Familiarity with event technology tools, mobile apps, webinar platforms, and CRM integrations desirable
