Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in event management or related field
  • Or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented
  • Proficiency with event management software
  • Ability to manage budgets and forecasts
  • Flexibility to work varied hours during events

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years event management experience
  • Or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with no experience required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex event logistics
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple departments

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation
  • Coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers
  • Lead pre-event and post-event meetings
  • Manage customer budgets and maximize revenue
  • Oversee customer experiences from turnover through post-event phase
  • Manage group room blocks and meeting spaces
  • Up-sell products and services
  • Participate in customer site inspections
  • Act as liaison between sales and customers
  • Manage revenue and profitability of events
  • Forecast group sleeping rooms and event revenue
  • Review billing and payments with clients
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback
  • Handle guest problems and complaints
  • Communicate event details with internal and external stakeholders
  • Celebrate team contributions
