Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in event management or related field
- Or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Detail-oriented
- Proficiency with event management software
- Ability to manage budgets and forecasts
- Flexibility to work varied hours during events
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years event management experience
- Or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with no experience required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex event logistics
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial forecasting
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple departments
Job Duties
- Prepare all event documentation
- Coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers
- Lead pre-event and post-event meetings
- Manage customer budgets and maximize revenue
- Oversee customer experiences from turnover through post-event phase
- Manage group room blocks and meeting spaces
- Up-sell products and services
- Participate in customer site inspections
- Act as liaison between sales and customers
- Manage revenue and profitability of events
- Forecast group sleeping rooms and event revenue
- Review billing and payments with clients
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback
- Handle guest problems and complaints
- Communicate event details with internal and external stakeholders
- Celebrate team contributions
