Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or relevant field
  • 10+ years of experience managing various types of events
  • 5+ years' experience with virtual platforms and event technology such as CVENT or similar software
  • CMP or other event certification preferred
  • experience in cybersecurity, technology, or membership associations is a plus
  • familiarity with event technology, webinar platforms, and CRM system integration
  • ability to work extended hours as events require
  • willingness to travel up to 20% domestically
  • ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
  • ability to lift up to 30 lbs during onsite events

Job Duties

  • Provide strategic direction and governance for the Americas Events team
  • lead annual planning initiatives and establish team goals
  • manage regional event budgets and forecasts
  • analyze event performance and attendee insights
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance audience acquisition and content delivery
  • establish team priorities and operational procedures
  • foster a positive and inclusive team culture
  • oversee regional event performance metrics including revenue and ROI analyses
  • translate performance data into actionable insights
  • conduct competitive analyses and gather audience insights
  • ensure accurate management of event budgets
  • develop scalable processes and standard operating procedures
  • identify and mitigate operational, technical, and financial risks
  • define vision and success metrics for virtual events and webinars
  • act as strategic lead for global virtual event and webinar programs
  • collaborate with production, marketing, and member engagement teams
  • maintain global webinar calendar and production processes
  • manage event technology ecosystem including vendor partnerships and data integrations
  • evaluate technology performance and identify enhancements
  • stay informed of event management trends and best practices
  • collaborate with stakeholders to streamline processes
  • understand ISC2 certifications and member services
  • carry out additional assigned duties as needed
