Job Requirements
- education equivalent to high school diploma or GED
- two years experience in event management or related professional area
- or two-year degree from an accredited university in relevant field
- strong organizational skills

Job Duties
- prepare all event documentation
- coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers to ensure consistent service
- manage complex event operations
- lead pre-event and post-event meetings
- solve operational challenges and develop alternative solutions
- manage customer budgets to maximize revenue
- oversee customer experiences from turnover through post-event phase
- conduct pre- and post-event meetings
- manage group room blocks and meeting space
- uphold company standards, policies, and procedures
- celebrate team successes
- up-sell products and services throughout the event process
- participate in customer site inspections
- act as liaison between sales and customers
- manage revenue and profitability for events
- forecast group sleeping rooms and event revenue
- review billing and payments with clients
- interact with guests to obtain feedback
- handle guest problems and complaints
- maintain a visible presence throughout the event process
- follow up with customers post-event
- greet customers during event phase
- coordinate and communicate event details internally and externally
