Recognized for its excellence and innovation in the legal industry, this firm consistently ranks among the top in the Am Law 100. Known for cultivating a collaborative and inclusive workplace, they offer a dynamic environment where talented professionals can thrive and grow their careers. Their Chicago office represents a vibrant hub where legal expertise meets forward-thinking marketing and communications strategies to drive business development, client engagement, and community outreach.

The firm is seeking a Senior Coordinator of Marketing - Events and Sponsorships to join their Chicago team. This role is a key player within the Marketing and Communications Department, acting as the primary liaison for all event planning and sponsorship activities. As a non-exempt position with a competitive salary range of $91,000 to $112,000, this role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring at least 4 days in the office per week. The Senior Coordinator will play a critical role in executing firmwide events including major conferences and retreats, supporting local and national sponsorship initiatives, and managing all logistical and financial aspects of event production.

The role demands a highly organized and proactive individual capable of coordinating complex projects that align with the firm’s strategic goals. This person works closely with attorneys, marketing professionals, business development teams, and external vendors to deliver seamless, impactful events that enhance the firm's brand and strengthen client relationships. Responsibilities include managing budgets, tracking expenditures, negotiating contracts, and ensuring effective communication across all stakeholder groups.

The incumbent must also collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as IT, Learning & Development, CRM, Accounting, and Hospitality to support all facets of the firm's events and sponsorship programs.

Additionally, the Senior Coordinator will be responsible for improving event processes, maintaining event management systems, and supporting marketing leadership with strategic projects and special initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the firm’s market profile through targeted events and community engagement, partnering with Office Managing Partners in Chicago and Pittsburgh to align local activities with broader firm priorities.

This position is ideal for candidates with at least five years’ experience in event management, preferably within professional services or law firms, who are adept at juggling multiple responsibilities, have a keen eye for detail, and possess strong communication and negotiation skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, financial acumen, and the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.

The firm is committed to supporting its employees with a comprehensive benefits package, fostering a supportive work-life balance and encouraging professional development. Joining this team offers the chance to work at a leading law firm with a commitment to excellence, innovation, and community impact through marketing and events.
