As a company, CBRE embodies values such as respect, integrity, service, and excellence, fostering a collaborative environment where the diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and skills of its employees are highly valued. CBRE's commitment to equal employment opportunity ensures that all qualified applicants receive fair consideration regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, veteran status, political beliefs, or any other legally protected status. CBRE also supports employees with disabilities by providing reasonable accommodations during the hiring process. Joining CBRE means becoming part of a vibrant culture where everyone has the chance to chart their own course and realize their full potential in a thriving, inclusive workplace.
The Senior Event Technician role at CBRE plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional meeting and event experiences across a range of corporate settings, including large technology firms. The technician acts as a cultural ambassador and service leader, providing essential customer service during meetings and events. This role requires handling various physical tasks such as moving, setting up, and dismantling furniture, decor, removable walls, and event equipment. From supporting everyday internal meetings to coordinating high-profile events involving VIP guests, senior executives, and press, the Senior Event Technician is entrusted with maintaining professionalism and independence throughout event execution with limited supervision.
In this capacity, the technician assists in logistics, coordination, and on-the-day execution of conferences and events to create hospitable environments for attendees, clients, and vendors. Responsibilities include day-to-day room turnovers, midday refreshes, reconfigurations, and ensuring indoor and outdoor event spaces are appropriately set up and maintained. Post-event duties encompass managing storage and inventory of event furniture and supplies, completing task reconciliations, and supporting inventory control. Attention to detail and prompt problem-solving are critical to guaranteeing events meet high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Collaboration with the Meeting and Events Tech Lead, supervisor, and senior team members is essential for meeting the needs of partners and clients while escalating significant issues to management when necessary. The role demands proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, as well as the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude with a sense of urgency. Physical stamina is important, as the job involves extensive walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
The compensation for the Senior Event Technician position ranges from $32.00 to $37.50 per hour, determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. This employment opportunity is full-time and comes with a robust benefits package including 401(k), health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and vision insurance. CBRE not only offers a role but also a career path within a global leader dedicated to professional growth, employee engagement, and exceptional service delivery.
