The resort boasts 130,000 square feet of meeting space and features 496 well-appointed guest rooms, offering a blend of luxury accommodations and state-of-the-art event facilities. Known for its vibrant and distinctive setting, Signa by Hilton at La Cantera is a premier destination for business and leisure travelers seeking exceptional service and memorable experiences in a beautiful hill country environment. With its extensive meeting and event spaces, the resort caters to conferences, weddings, corporate retreats, and various group events, making it a top choice for event planners and attendees alike.
The Senior Event Manager role at Signa by Hilton offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on delivering outstanding event experiences. This position is primarily responsible for managing the documentation and coordination of complex events from the initial sales turnover through execution and post-event follow-up. The Senior Event Manager works closely with the Sales team, various hotel departments, and clients to ensure seamless communication and the highest standard of service throughout all phases of an event. Additionally, the role involves identifying opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling services and offering event enhancements, thus contributing to the overall success and profitability of the resort.
In this role, the Senior Event Manager serves as the primary contact for event planners once the event has been handed off from sales, ensuring that client expectations are not only met but exceeded. The position may also support the Director of Catering and Events, taking on leadership responsibilities as needed. Key responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing duties, maintaining timely communication with internal and external clients, creating and nurturing client relationships, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of hotel systems and processes, and resolving conflicts efficiently. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to make informed decisions, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Participation in customer site inspections and assistance with the sales process are also important aspects of the job.
Candidates for this position should have at least two years of event planning experience within a resort or hotel environment, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate group needs. Experience with hotel property management systems such as Delphi.fdc is highly advantageous, as is a CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification and five years of hotel event management experience. Signa by Hilton values team members who are proactive, communicative, and customer-focused, ensuring that each event is executed flawlessly and leaves a lasting impression on guests. This role offers a fulfilling career path for those passionate about event management, hospitality, and creating outstanding guest experiences.
