Job Description
Hilton Minneapolis is a premier hotel centrally located in downtown Minneapolis, perfectly connected via skyways to key landmarks such as the Minneapolis Convention Center and Orchestra Hall. This strategic location has made Hilton Minneapolis a crucial hub for hosting large events, conferences, and group business, attracting business and leisure travelers alike. As a Hilton corporate managed property, the hotel prides itself on delivering exceptional hospitality experiences and memorable stays, blending comfortable accommodations with outstanding services and facilities that cater to diverse client needs.
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is focused on overseeing the execution of large and complex group events, including managing rooming lists, coordinating meeting spaces, and planning food and beverage arrangements. The Senior Event Manager will work closely with sales teams, hotel departments, and clients to ensure flawless service throughout the entire event lifecycle — from pre-event planning to the event day and post-event wrap-up. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to be part of a well-established hospitality brand and contribute significantly to creating outstanding event experiences in the heart of downtown Minneapolis.
As a Senior Event Manager, you will be the primary contact for clients during the event phase, ensuring their expectations are consistently met or exceeded. Your responsibilities will include organizing and prioritizing duties by developing effective plans and goals, maintaining timely communication with internal and external stakeholders, and fostering strong client relationships. You will also demonstrate an expert knowledge of the hotel's property management systems and event processes, negotiate and resolve conflicts effectively, and maximize revenue opportunities by upselling and offering enhancements. In addition, you may act on behalf of the Director of Catering and Events when needed, highlighting the importance and seniority of the role.
This position demands flexibility in scheduling based on group arrivals and requires at least two years of experience in event management or conference services within hotel environments. The salary range for the Senior Event Manager role is competitive—$60,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on experience—with additional opportunities for quarterly incentives through Hilton's Short-Term Incentive Plan. Benefits are comprehensive and designed to support the overall well-being and career development of our team members. By joining Hilton Minneapolis, you are joining a globally recognized hospitality leader committed to professional growth, employee rewards, and creating a welcoming and inclusive work culture.
