The Senior Event Manager role at Hilton Austin represents a prestigious opportunity for an experienced events professional to lead and orchestrate large-scale, sophisticated events ranging from 500 to 2,000 attendees. With peak room blocks exceeding 250 rooms, this position demands exceptional organizational, leadership, and client management skills. The senior-level manager will serve as the pivotal link between the sales team and event execution, ensuring a seamless transition through comprehensive event documentation and proactive client engagement onsite. This on-site role offers more than just event execution responsibilities. The successful candidate will also guide the team’s performance by communicating client requirements effectively, offering direction, and providing coaching to maintain consistent high service levels. - Experience managing events ranging from 500 to 2,000 attendees
- Proven ability to manage peak room blocks of 250+ rooms
- Experience working in a corporate-managed hotel property
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Availability to work on-site in downtown Austin

Job Duties
- Execute complex events by managing event documentation and facilitating smooth transitions from Sales to service
- Serve as the primary client contact on property to ensure smooth execution and proactive issue resolution
- Build trust and rapport as the primary point of contact throughout the event lifecycle
- Identify upsell opportunities and recommend enhancements to increase contract value
- Communicate client requirements and provide direction to team members
- Offer feedback and coaching to ensure consistent high-level service
- Step in for senior leaders as needed and make informed decisions to navigate complex challenges
