The Senior Event Executive role at Juniper Preserve is a strategic leadership position that demands exceptional skills and experience. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this position oversees the Event Sales and Planning Department, functioning as the primary liaison across multiple departments including Sales, Event Operations, Food & Beverage, Rooms Operations, and Resort Leadership. This role is pivotal in driving event revenue, ensuring service excellence, and facilitating superior operational execution. It plays a vital part in client satisfaction, overseeing weddings, social events, corporate meetings, retreats, and special events that define the resort’s brand and guest experience.
The Senior Event Executive leads the event planning team, mentoring and developing event professionals, ensuring seamless and clear communication between departments to maximize operational efficiency and client satisfaction. This position handles the resort's most complex, high-profile events and is a key figure in elevating the standard of planning and operational procedures. Responsibilities span leadership and department management, event sales and client management, event logistics, as well as technology deployment and documentation oversight.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of banquet operations, food and beverage service, and event logistics, together with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. They must manage multiple projects while maintaining a sharp attention to detail and demonstrate proficiency in various systems such as Ivvy, Springer Miller Host, Jonas Club Software, Prism, Google Drive suite, Microsoft Office, and other event management and CRM platforms.

Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant event planning experience
- minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience
- strong leadership skills

Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of event planning event sales wedding sales or hospitality leadership experience
- minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience
- proven experience managing large-scale weddings corporate meetings luxury events and social functions
- strong understanding of banquet operations food and beverage service and event logistics
- exceptional organizational communication and leadership skills
- ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- experience creating and reviewing banquet event orders and event documentation
- luxury resort or destination event experience preferred
- experience leading event planning teams preferred
- knowledge of revenue management and event profitability strategies preferred
- experience with golf resort wellness resort or luxury hospitality operations preferred
- advanced knowledge of ivvy or similar event management systems preferred
Job Duties
- Lead mentor and develop the Event Sales and Planning team
- establish and maintain department standards procedures and service expectations
- foster a culture of hospitality accountability collaboration and continuous improvement
- conduct regular coaching training and performance reviews for team members
- partner with the Director of Sales and Marketing to develop departmental goals strategies and revenue initiatives
- manage and sell the resort's most complex high-value and strategic events
- lead wedding sales efforts and serve as the primary contact for luxury wedding clients
- develop proposals contracts and customized event solutions
- build strong client relationships throughout the sales and planning process
- oversee all aspects of event planning from contract execution through event completion
- serve as a strategic problem solver for complex event logistics and operational challenges
- coordinate with resort departments to ensure seamless execution of all event details
- create detailed and accurate banquet event orders (beos) for assigned events
- review team-generated beos for accuracy completeness profitability and operational readiness
- serve as the primary liaison between Event Sales Event Planning Food and Beverage Culinary Golf Spa Front Office Housekeeping and Resort Operations
- lead and facilitate weekly banquet event order (beo) meetings
- maintain proficiency in event management and crm platforms including ivvy springer miller host jonas club software prism google drive suite and microsoft office suite
