The Senior Event Executive role at Octagon represents a pivotal opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented professional to contribute directly to the client’s premium hospitality programs in the luxury automotive segment. This role primarily focuses on implementing and executing hospitality and experiential marketing programs that emphasize the client’s sponsorships in prestigious golf and professional men’s tennis events. Collaborating closely with the Hospitality Manager, Golf Experiential Director, and Tennis Experiential Director, the Senior Event Executive plays a crucial role in delivering exclusive, best-in-class experiences for consumers and internal stakeholders alike.
This position is located in one of several key office locations including Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, or Atlanta, GA, with a preference for candidates open to hybrid work arrangements (2-3 days per week in the office). Remote candidates are not being considered. The role includes a $50,000 salary and is overtime-eligible, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package. The Senior Event Executive will be responsible for managing various facets of hospitality logistics such as guest lists, transportation, ticketing, itineraries, food and beverage service, and gifting. They will also support the development of event activations and guest communications, ensuring seamless execution across multiple golf and tennis-related sponsorships.
Strong communication skills and experience in sports hospitality are essential, as the role demands significant guest-facing interactions and the ability to manage complex event logistics. The ideal candidate will have operational knowledge of food and beverage service, vendor management, and transportation logistics, along with a working familiarity with professional or amateur golf event management. Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically, often including weekends and holidays with moderate travel expectations, are also key components. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 2-4 years of sports marketing or hospitality experience
- Operational knowledge of food and beverage service hotels guest lists vendor management and transportation logistics
- Experience with professional or amateur golf and event management
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced event environments

Job Duties
- Assist with premium guest hospitality operations including managing guest lists transportation plans guest itineraries ticketing food and beverage service and transportation
- Manage gifting recommendations ordering and fulfilment across all hospitality programs keeping a pulse on industry trends
- Support the development of deliverables and guest communications
- Support planning and execution of activations related to the client's golf and tennis sponsorships
- Use problem solving skills to address client challenges with impactful solutions
- Support weekly status calls and other key meetings with both internal and external constituents
- Serve as a trusted and reliable agency contact for clients internal colleagues and brand partners
- Supervision of temporary staff and trainee positions if applicable
