Job Description

Product Connections, a division of the Acosta Group, specializes in bridging the gap between brands and consumers by delivering innovative marketing solutions tailored to retail environments. The Acosta Group itself is a leading sales and marketing agency, with a workforce exceeding 10,000 professionals across the nation. Their commitment to fostering a collaborative work culture enables team members to thrive, encouraging continuous learning and creative development. As an industry leader, Product Connections has developed a strong reputation for executing well-orchestrated in-store demonstrations and brand engagement events that drive retail sales and enhance product visibility.

The Senior Event Coordinator role at Product Connections is a vital position responsible for the successful execution of in-store food and non-food demonstrations. This part-time position, typically requiring up to 25 hours per week, demands a charismatic and knowledgeable individual who can connect effectively with consumers, showcasing product features and benefits in a professional and engaging manner. The coordinator’s expertise materially impacts sales results and fosters lasting relationships between the brand, store personnel, and shoppers.

In this role, the Senior Event Coordinator will manage all aspects of event logistics—from maintaining demonstration equipment and supplies to supporting the team and acting as the primary contact in the absence of the supervisor. With a strong emphasis on food safety and customer interaction, this position also entails preparing and serving food samples, utilizing kitchen appliances like microwaves and fryers, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation at the workstation. The coordinator plays a pivotal leadership role by guiding less experienced staff and assisting with event preparations, audits, and documentation tasks. Additionally, capturing digital photographs of event setups helps illustrate success stories that support client relationships.

Ideal candidates will possess at least a high school diploma or GED, combined with 1-3 months of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and education. Familiarity with computer systems and mobile devices is essential for navigating internal platforms efficiently. Certifications such as Food Safety Professional Certification and a local food handler’s permit may be required, underscoring the priority of adhering to food safety standards.

Working within a dynamic retail store environment, the Senior Event Coordinator must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrating reliability and proactive communication skills to build strong connections with store management and colleagues. Physical demands include standing, walking, and frequent lifting of items up to 25 pounds, with occasional heavier lifting up to 50 pounds. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to influential marketing activations while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time schedule.

Product Connections and the Acosta Group are committed to equal opportunity employment, ensuring an inclusive workplace where individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities are welcomed and supported. Reasonable accommodations are available upon request to support candidates with disabilities.
