With a network of over 2,000 restaurants and the power of innovative technology, Fooda brings fresh, chef-prepared meals directly to office buildings, creating an enjoyable and convenient dining experience for employees. Operating in over 20 major U.S. cities, Fooda continues to expand its footprint, becoming a beloved workplace perk for thousands of companies nationwide. The company’s model involves rotating different restaurant partners daily to keep lunch offerings diverse and exciting. Fooda’s mission is to create a workplace environment where food programs are eagerly anticipated and cherished by employees, enhancing their day-to-day work life and fostering community within the office.

The current opening is for a part-time Event Coordinator role based in the Memphis market. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in hospitality or events who want to grow their knowledge in food service, engage with clients, and collaborate closely with a network of local restaurants. The role offers the opportunity to work with a large client in Memphis and gain valuable exposure to the food service industry.

As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting Fooda events by managing on-site setup, breakdown, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the event areas. You will become adept in using Fooda’s technology platforms and operational procedures to ensure smooth execution of food events. Critical problem-solving skills will be essential as you will handle real-time challenges such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, or communication issues, delivering prompt and effective customer service to ensure high satisfaction. Additionally, you will oversee audits of restaurant event preparations to maintain consistency and quality, escalating issues to the Operations Manager when required.

The work schedule is set for Monday through Wednesday with split shifts from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM and 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM, providing a steady part-time commitment of 20 to 25 hours per week. This flexible yet structured schedule supports work-life balance while offering a dynamic work environment. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, start-up culture and value opportunities for personal growth and career advancement within Fooda.

This role suits individuals who love fostering relationships through excellent customer service and are comfortable interacting with diverse groups of people. A friendly attitude, high energy, and technological savviness are important for navigating Fooda’s operational requirements. Being resourceful and able to maintain composure under pressure will help in effectively managing any onsite issues. Strong communication skills and self-motivation are key attributes needed for success. Organization and attention to detail are highly valued, and a Type-A personality is considered a plus. Familiarity with the local Memphis area and reliable personal transportation will ensure efficient event management.

In return, Fooda offers competitive wages ranging from $19 to $23 per hour, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match. The company encourages long-term growth with opportunities for advancement and networking within the restaurant and hospitality industries. Employees will find the work experience fulfilling and challenging, along with the added bonus of free food during events. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This is an excellent chance for individuals seeking a part-time role in a vibrant and growing company that values innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.
