The Senior Director, Property & Operations Analytics is a pivotal leadership role within Marriott’s Enterprise Data, Analytics & AI (D&AI) organization. This full-time management-level position, based at the Marriott International headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland, offers a competitive salary range from $151,100 to $237,700 annually, with additional bonus and stock package eligibility. This role is designed for an analytics expert with significant leadership experience who will strategically lead efforts to elevate analytics, measurement practices, and decision support across the entire property and hotel operations lifecycle.

The Senior Director partners closely with diverse teams across Global Operations, Brand & Lodging Product, Quality, Owner & Franchise Services, and regional Continent teams. Their leadership drives operational performance improvements, optimizes guest experience, and provides crucial insights to inform enterprise and owner-level decisions. This position serves as a critical force in modernizing Marriott’s analytical capabilities by introducing innovative measurement frameworks and strengthening experimentation and pilot program assessments.

In this role, the Senior Director leads multiple agile pods within the D&AI operating model, setting standards and ensuring progress on enterprise priorities, data quality improvements, and flagship projects such as ITR Drivers, hotel decisioning tools like QPower, and the evolution of guest satisfaction measurement systems. The position demands an individual capable of serving as an Analytics Guild Leader, fostering cross-functional partnerships and influencing senior leadership through clear, data-driven storytelling.

Overall, this role is instrumental in transforming Marriott’s property-level execution analytics, driving stronger guest experiences, improving operational decisions, and generating long-term value for owners and the enterprise. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or related field required
  • master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, strategy, operations, or related disciplines with significant leadership responsibility
  • proven experience driving measurement and analytics for complex operational environments
  • demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and drive adoption of analytics in business decision making
  • hospitality, lodging operations, quality, or asset focused experience required
  • deep understanding of hotel operations, service delivery, and operational drivers of guest experience

Job Duties

  • Define and execute the analytics vision for Property & Operations in alignment with enterprise priorities and D&AI strategy
  • introduce innovative measurement practices, frameworks, and analytical approaches
  • act as a thought leader on how property condition, service execution, staffing, and operational trade-offs influence guest experience, brand health, and owner value
  • own measurement strategy for operations pilots, initiatives, and field tests ensuring clear success metrics and post pilot recommendations
  • translate pilot and initiative results into insights and decision guidance for senior leaders, operations forums, and owners
  • continuously assess current KPIs and scorecards and recommend improvements
  • provide analytics oversight across Global Ops domains including Rooms, F&B, Spa, Engineering, Staffing/Labor, and Service Operations
  • lead development of measurement frameworks for complex operational areas
  • deepen team expertise in systems and data sources across Global Operations
  • ensure analytics reflect real operational realities and are trusted
  • lead analyses and models assessing hotel performance drivers including renovation impact and operational effectiveness
  • synthesize data from multiple sources including GuestVoice/ITR and financial signals
  • deliver executive-ready insights communicating significance and action steps
  • serve as Analytics Guild Leader setting standards and capability roadmaps
  • work closely with other leaders for coordinated progress on priorities, initiatives, and data debt
  • drive alignment on large cross-pod efforts and modernization of guest satisfaction measurement
  • serve as primary analytics partner to Global Operations, Quality, Asset Management, Brand Operations, Development, and Continent leadership
  • embed analytics into operational planning and standards governance
  • influence leaders through relationships, credibility, and data storytelling
  • lead, mentor, and inspire senior analytics team
  • elevate team capabilities in measurement design, causal analysis, experimentation, and operational decisioning
  • foster a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement
