Senior Director of Community Programs

We are currently seeking a Senior Director of Community Programs to join our team on a full-time basis in Allentown, PA. This key leadership role carries a salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 and will oversee the YMCA's social services and housing initiatives, as well as the operations of the Allentown branch. The Senior Director will provide visionary guidance and operational management ensuring that programs serve individuals and families effectively, particularly those experiencing housing instability or homelessness. The position requires a dynamic professional capable of balancing strategic program development, regulatory compliance, budgeting, staff leadership, and community partnerships.

In this role, you will lead critical initiatives such as the Allentown Warming Station and Bethlehem Housing programs, driving efforts to provide comprehensive support services, housing navigation, and coordinated community responses. You will manage the accuracy and integrity of program documentation, data reporting, and compliance with funding requirements, including working with HMIS and other case management systems. This position demands expertise in building collaborations with Continuum of Care organizations, behavioral health providers, housing agencies, and other stakeholders, aiming to enhance service delivery and community impact.

The Senior Director also oversees the safe and welcoming operation of the Allentown YMCA branch, ensuring the facility environment supports membership retention and community engagement. Partnering with executive leadership, you will contribute to annual budget planning, risk management, financial controls, and HR practices. You will play a key role in public representation of the YMCA at community meetings, coalitions, and fundraising activities, helping to advance the organization's mission and social impact.

If you have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, Business, or a related field, along with leadership experience in social services, housing programs, or nonprofit management, this is an excellent opportunity to apply your skills and passion. CPR, First Aid, and YMCA-required certifications are necessary or must be obtainable.
