This role is located 100% in the Irving, Texas Corporate Office and is titled Senior Director, Inventory Planning & Replenishment. This pivotal position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Demand Chain, and involves owning and driving the company’s inventory strategy across all operational facets including stores, distribution centers, and digital platforms. The Senior Director will be a visionary leader focused on ensuring optimal inventory levels, improving replenishment processes, and enhancing overall supply chain efficiency to meet the company’s commitment to best-in-class customer service levels and inventory productivity.

In this strategic role, the Senior Director will define and lead enterprise-wide inventory planning and replenishment initiatives, establishing policies, safety stock methodologies, and service level targets that align with 7-Eleven’s business goals. They will oversee daily, weekly, and monthly replenishment planning and execution across multiple channels. Key performance indicators such as service levels, fill rates, inventory turns, and working capital will be under their ownership, as they continuously seek opportunities for improvement.

The role also involves driving the adoption and optimization of advanced planning technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to enhance inventory forecasting and replenishment accuracy. Collaboration is crucial, as the Senior Director will work closely with merchandising, private brands, wholesalers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure cohesive replenishment strategies. Cross-functional partnerships with finance, procurement, logistics, and technology teams are essential to align inventory management with broader business objectives.

Leadership is a vital component of this position, requiring the ability to coach, build, and develop a high-performing inventory planning organization that can execute effectively and support the company’s growth initiatives. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in inventory optimization within large-scale retail or consumer-facing environments, particularly those with private brand experience. The successful candidate will bring more than 15 years of relevant experience, a track record of managing complex inventory systems, and a passion for driving supply chain excellence in a fast-paced, multi-channel retail setting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, operations, or related field
  • 15+ years of inventory planning, replenishment, or supply chain planning experience
  • Proven leadership managing high-performing teams
  • Deep expertise in inventory optimization and replenishment methodologies
  • Experience supporting private label or private brand businesses
  • Experience with modern planning platforms such as Blue Yonder
  • Ability to work 100% onsite at the Irving, TX Corporate Office

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, operations, or related field
  • Masters preferred
  • 15+ years of inventory planning, replenishment, or supply chain planning experience
  • Deep inventory planning and replenishment expertise from large-scale retail or consumer-facing organizations
  • Meaningful experience supporting private label or private brand businesses
  • Significant experience within retail, grocery, convenience, consumer products, pharmacy, club, or omnichannel environments
  • Demonstrated success developing inventory, replenishment, and supply chain strategies for private brand portfolios
  • Experience partnering with merchandising, category management, product development, and supplier organizations
  • Proven leadership managing high-performing teams
  • Deep expertise in inventory optimization and replenishment methodologies
  • Experience with modern planning platforms such as Blue Yonder

Job Duties

  • Define, design and lead enterprise-wide inventory planning and replenishment strategies
  • Establish replenishment policies, safety stock methodologies, and service level targets
  • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly replenishment planning and execution across distribution, stores and digital channels
  • Own inventory KPIs including service levels, fill rates, inventory turns, and working capital
  • Drive planning system implementation and optimization including AI-enabled solutions
  • Partner with merchandising, private brands, wholesalers, FMCG vendors and 3PLs to align replenishment signals
  • Build cross functional collaboration with finance, procurement, logistics, distribution, merchandising and technology
  • Coach, build and develop a high-performing inventory planning organization
